The All-Purpose Baker’s Companion

Over many years of baking recipes from the King Arthur Baking Company website, I’ve come to trust King Arthur as a source of delicious, well-tested recipes and reliable baking information. I love that they provide lots of helpful resources and tips along with their recipes – their Ingredient Weight Chart is my go-to resource for converting volume measurements to weight!

When I found The All-Purpose Baker’s Companion while shopping at Costco one day, I knew it’d become a staple in my kitchen. In addition to a large collection of recipes for all types of baked goods, this book includes a print version of the ingredient weight chart that I reference frequently, and is sprinkled throughout with informational baking tidbits that will help any budding baker hone their craft.

Note: Many of the recipes in this book are available for free on the King Arthur Baking website (potentially with small differences or additional tips). In each of my recipe reviews below, I’ll include a link to the web version if I can find it, so you can reference either the book or the website if you choose to make the recipe yourself.
